Regulation (EU) 2018/848 – IOAS
Accredited by the International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS), Contract No. 342, to ISO/IEC 17065:2012 for Regulation (EU) 2018/848, Categories D (processed agricultural products, including aquaculture products, for use as food) and E (feed), geographical scope India. Effective 10 September 2026.
GCS has applied to the European Commission for recognition under Article 46 of Regulation (EU) 2018/848.
NPOP – National Programme for Organic Production (accredited by APEDA)
Accreditation suspended by APEDA from 01/10/2025 for one year; reinstatement requested.
PGS-India – Participatory Guarantee System of India
GCS is approved as a Regional Council under PGS-India Organic and Natural Farming, the participatory guarantee system administered by the National Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (NCONF), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India.
Training
- Training of ICS Personnel.
- ICS personnel must be continuously trained in order to be aware of organic farming practices, certification requirements and important internal procedures.
- Each internal inspector needs to receive at least one training per year by a competent person.
- The date of participation and content of the training of all ICS staff.
- Needs to be documented in the staff files.
- To strengthen the skills of your team and to master the certification process.
- To prepare your company for the implementation of a sustainable or organic programme.

Growth of Organic farming in India in financial year 2022, More than two percent of the net area in India was under organic farming, this was an increase from last year. In general, the area under organic farming has increased continuously, signifying more demand for organic food.
