EU Information about accreditation

Global Certification Society (GCS) is accredited by the International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS), Contract No. 342, to ISO/IEC 17065:2012 for Regulation (EU) 2018/848, Categories D (processed agricultural products, including aquaculture products, for use as food) and E (feed), geographical scope India, effective 10 September 2026.

GCS has applied to the European Commission for recognition as a control body under Article 46 of Regulation (EU) 2018/848. Certificates for export of organic products to the EU will be issued only after GCS is included in the list of recognised control bodies.

GCS Certification Process

1. Application Submission

Submit the Application Form, Organic Management Plan (OMP) and supporting documents describing your operations and organic practices.

2. Initial Review

GCS reviews your application and documents to ensure completeness and compliance with organic standards before proceeding to inspection.

3. Certificate Agreement

Sign the Certification Agreement with GCS to confirm the certification scope, responsibilities, and applicable organic standards.

4. Onsite Inspection

A qualified GCS inspector conducts an on-site inspection to verify your practices, records, facilities, and organic inputs.

5. Technical Review

The inspection findings are evaluated by the technical team. If needed, Corrective Action Plans (CAPA) must be submitted and verified.

6. Certificate Decision

The Certification Decision Committee (CDC) independently reviews the complete file and makes the final certification decision.

7. Certificate & Label Approval

Once approved, GCS issues the Organic Certificate and approves product labels so the products can be marketed as certified organic.

As of October 2026, no operators are certified by GCS under Regulation (EU) 2018/848. This list is updated immediately after any change in certification status.
